EVA is short for ethylene-vinyl acetate copolymer, EVA foam is ethylene - vinyl acetate copolymer plastic after heating melting, the mold formed by the new environmental plastic foam products, EVA foam has a good buffer, seismic, heat insulation, moisture-proof, and other advantages. Therefore, it is widely used in packaging, thermal insulation and other fields. EVA's melting point is 75℃, and its boiling point is 170.6℃, so pay attention to its melting point temperature in some fields.
The performance of EVA is greatly related to the content of vinyl acetate (VA). When the content of VA increases, its resilience, flexibility, adhesion, transparency, solubility, stress cracking resistance and impact performance will be improved. When the content of VA decreases, EVA's rigidity, wear resistance and electrical insulation will increase. Generally speaking, when the VA content ranges from 10% to 20%, it is plastic material, while when the VA content exceeds 30%, it is elastic material.
Detailed distinction is shown in the following table:
Ethylene acetic acid (VA) content |
characteristic |
10% |
Soft than polyethylene, good impact strength, used for packaging bags and films, injection molding parts, cable coating, toys, etc |
10%-20% |
Good transparency, resistance to cold and stress cracking, used for making agricultural films, medical appliances, etc |
20%-40% |
With good adhesion, used as hot melt adhesives, coatings, etc |
45%-55% |
Good elasticity, used as a special rubber, and other rubber compatibility, good processing, available peroxides vulcanization, and vulcanized rubber |
65%~95% |
As emulsion, it can be used as adhesive for fiber, paper, etc |

The size specification of EVA plate produced by Gueryi is 2000*1000*300 (thickness specification can be cut 1-300mm)
The density is usually 35-90kg/ m3, and the inventory is 40kg/ m3
